A cremation service usually begins with a gathering at a chosen venue — we regularly work with St Peter and St Paul Parish Church and other local venues in and around Stokesley before the cremation itself takes place at the crematorium. On the day, your family will be guided by our team from arrival through to the committal, and we will make sure you understand every stage in advance so there are no surprises. We can help you choose music, readings, and any personal touches that reflect the life of the person who has died.
Our Stokesley funeral home on East End is available to take your call at any time, and one of the most important things we can do in those early hours is arrange for the person who has died to be brought into our care. We can guide you through the practicalities — including who to notify and what paperwork will be needed — so your family does not have to face those questions alone. There is no pressure to make any decisions straight away; our team will move at a pace that feels manageable for you.
We work closely with St Peter and St Paul Parish Church, Stokesley Methodist, and St Joseph's Church, as well as clergy and celebrants of many traditions, to arrange services that feel right for your family. Whether you are looking for a traditional Church of England service, a Catholic funeral, or a Methodist ceremony, our team will liaise directly with the relevant minister or faith leader on your behalf. We are here to make sure the service truly honours the beliefs and values of the person who has died.
Yes, our team covers Great Ayton and the surrounding villages, including Great Broughton, Carlton, Ingleby Greenhow and Seamer, as well as the wider Teesside area. Wherever you are in the North Yorkshire countryside or closer to town, we can be with your family when you need us most. Just call us and we will talk you through everything from the very first step.
There is free parking available in the Co-op Food car park directly opposite our funeral home on East End, with no charge for up to three hours, which is more than enough time for an arrangement meeting. Disc parking is also available within Stokesley town centre if you prefer. Our premises are fully wheelchair accessible, with a ground floor arrangement room and an accessible toilet, so every member of your family is able to be with you when you come to make arrangements.
