We work closely with All Saints' Church in Huthwaite and are experienced in arranging services there for families who have a connection to that community. We can also organise services at St Mary's Church and St Andrew's Church in Skegby, or at St John's Methodist Church in Sutton, depending on your family's wishes. Our team will liaise directly with the church on your behalf so that you have one less thing to think about.
When someone you love has just died, you do not need to have everything figured out straight away — our team on Manor Street is available to take your call and talk you through what needs to happen next. We can arrange to bring your father into our care, and we will handle the early paperwork and guide you gently through the process at your own pace. Whether he died at home near Sutton-in-Ashfield or in hospital, we will come to him wherever he is.
On the day of a cremation, our team will bring your loved one to the crematorium in a dignified procession, and we will guide your family through every part of the service so nothing feels uncertain or rushed. You can choose readings, music, and tributes that reflect who they were, and a celebrant or minister — such as someone from St John's Methodist Church in Sutton — can lead the service if you wish. Afterwards, we will talk you through the options for the ashes, whether that is a memorial, a scatter, or keeping them close at home.
Yes, our team on Manor Street is very familiar with Huthwaite and is here to support families across the local area, including Skegby, Mansfield, and Amber Valley. Whether your loved one died close to home or further afield, we can arrange to be with you. If you are unsure whether we cover your area, please do give us a call and we will do our best to help.
There is a pay-and-display car park nearby as well as street parking close to the funeral home on Manor Street, and if you are unsure where to leave your car please do ring us and we will point you in the right direction. Our arrangement room is on the ground floor and the building has full wheelchair access, so families with mobility needs can come in without difficulty. We want your visit to feel as straightforward as possible, and our team will be at the door to welcome you.
