Yes, our team at 31A The Broadway covers a wide area across this part of Berkshire, including Hungerford, Newbury, Lambourn, Bucklebury, Hermitage, Kingsclere and Theale. Wherever you are in the surrounding area, we'll come to you and guide your family through everything from the very first call. Distance is never a barrier to the care and support we provide.
We work with several crematoriums depending on your family's preferences and location, including West Berkshire Crematorium, Basingstoke Crematorium, Reading Crematorium and South Oxfordshire Crematorium. On the day, our team accompanies your loved one's coffin into the crematorium and we coordinate every detail of the service so your family can simply focus on being together. We'll explain exactly what to expect beforehand so nothing comes as a surprise.
Our Thatcham funeral home has been supporting families of all faiths and none since 1986, and we're experienced in arranging services across Church of England, Roman Catholic, Methodist and Baptist traditions, as well as any other religion or cultural background that is meaningful to you. We take the time to listen carefully to what matters most, whether that involves particular rituals, readings, music or customs. Whatever your beliefs, we'll make sure the service truly reflects the life of your loved one.
Please call us at any time, day or night - our team is always available to answer the phone and talk you through the next steps at whatever pace feels right for you. Once you're ready, we'll arrange for your loved one to be brought into our care from wherever they are, whether that's at home, in hospital, or elsewhere in the Newbury area. We'll also help you understand the paperwork and registrations that need to happen in the days ahead, so nothing feels overwhelming.
We have three free parking spaces directly at our funeral home on The Broadway, and if those are taken, you're welcome to use the free two-hour parking beside St Mary's Church in Thatcham, which is close by. There is also paid parking available at the Co-op food store and Waitrose if you need longer. Our arrangement room is on the ground floor, so please do let us know in advance if anyone in your family has mobility needs and we'll make sure everything is as comfortable as possible for your visit.
