Yes, our team at James Summers on Merthyr Road is very familiar with Rhiwbina and we regularly support families across the area. We also cover Whitchurch, Llandaff North, Gabalfa, Heath, Tongwynlais, Taffs Well, and Thornhill, so wherever you are in the surrounding area, we are here to help. Please do get in touch and we will talk you through everything at your own pace.
Our funeral home on Merthyr Road has two on-site parking spaces, and there is also street parking nearby as well as a local car park where the first hour is free, which can be helpful when families are visiting for an arrangement meeting. The building is fully wheelchair accessible, and our ground floor arrangement room means there are no stairs to navigate, which we know makes a real difference for many families. We also have an accessible toilet on site, and our team is always happy to discuss any other needs before you arrive.
We arrange all kinds of services for families in Whitchurch and the surrounding areas, whether that is a traditional religious service, a fully secular celebration of life, or something in between. There is no single right way to say goodbye, and our team will listen carefully to what feels right for your family before making any arrangements. We can help you find the right celebrant or officiant to lead a service that truly reflects the person who died.
Our team at James Summers is available to take your call and begin supporting your family straight away, even outside of regular hours. One of the most important early steps is the collection of the person who has died into our care, and we will handle this with gentleness and respect whether that is from a home in Llandaff North, a local hospital, or a care setting. We can also help you understand the paperwork and registration process so you are never left wondering what needs to happen next.
We work with Thornhill Crematorium, which is also close to our funeral home on Merthyr Road and is a setting we know well. On the day, our team will guide the procession to Thornhill and be with your family throughout, ensuring everything runs as you would wish. We are happy to talk you through the layout, the timing, and what to expect so that nothing feels unfamiliar when the day arrives.
