View funeral notices and leave a tribute or donation in their memory
Absolutely — many families we support in Wickford and across the wider Basildon area choose a completely non-religious or humanist-style farewell that reflects who their loved one truly was. We can help you find a celebrant who will take time to get to know your family's story and craft a service filled with personal music, readings, and memories rather than religious ceremony.
When you're ready, call our Wickford funeral home on High Street and one of our team will be there to listen and talk you through everything — there is no pressure and no rush. We can arrange for your dad to be brought into our care at any time, day or night, and we'll walk alongside your family through the paperwork and registrations that come in the days that follow in Wickford and the surrounding area.
Yes, our Wickford funeral home on High Street serves families across Runwell, Shotgate, Basildon, Maldon Fields and the surrounding communities. Wherever you are in the area, our team will come to you and guide you through every arrangement at a pace that feels right for your family.
Our funeral home on High Street is fully wheelchair accessible, with a ground floor arrangement room so there are no stairs to navigate, along with an accessible toilet on site. If you're driving, there is a nearby paid car park as well as street parking close by, and we also have restricted parking directly outside the funeral home reserved for blue badge holders, making it as straightforward as possible for every member of your family to be present.
On the day of the cremation, our team will bring your loved one's coffin to the service venue, where family and friends gather to say goodbye — this might be a local church, a crematorium chapel, or another place that held meaning for them. The service itself usually lasts around 20 to 30 minutes and can include music, readings, and personal tributes chosen by your family. Afterwards, we handle all the practical arrangements so you can focus entirely on being together with the people who matter most.
