Our chapel of rest on Gale Lane offers a quiet, private space where you and your family can visit and spend time with the person who died before the funeral. We have on-site parking, so getting to us is straightforward whether you're travelling from Acomb itself or further afield. Please do let our team know if there's anything we can do to make your visit as comfortable as possible.
Whatever your family's beliefs, we'll build a funeral that truly reflects the person who died. We work closely with local churches including Edward the Confessor and St Stephen's for those who want a traditional religious service, and we're equally experienced in arranging humanist and non-religious ceremonies. Our team will listen carefully and help you shape something that feels right.
You can call us at any time, day or night, and our team at the Gale Lane funeral home will respond straight away. We're able to come and bring your loved one into our care as soon as you're ready, and there's no pressure to make any decisions immediately. We'll walk you through the paperwork and the practical steps gently, at a pace that suits your family.
We're here for families across Poppleton, Foxwood, Dringhouses, and the wider Acomb area. Our team on Gale Lane is never far away, and we'll come to you wherever you are when you need us most. Just call us and we'll take care of everything from there.
We work with York Crematorium and know it well, which means we can guide your family through every detail of the day with confidence. Our team will arrange everything from the order of service to the timing of the procession, so you can focus entirely on saying goodbye. We'll be alongside you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.
