Start a tailored funeral arrangement online
With our online planner there's no commitment to buy - it's here to help you understand all the options available and to create ideas for the funeral.
You'll get a guide price that you can discuss further with your funeral director.
Lower cost funerals
If you don’t need to arrange a personalised tailored funeral, or if you want to keep costs down and arrange a simpler send off, see our essential funeral.
You could also choose a direct cremation or direct burial, where we arrange an unattended yet dignified burial or cremation without a service. Allowing you to choose to remember the person who has died in your own way.
How the funeral planner works
If the person who died is already in our care or if you just want to see what's available with a tailored funeral, this could help you. We’ll take you through all the things you need to think about and decide.
1. Select your local funeral home
Enter the town, city or postcode where the funeral will take place and we’ll find your nearest Co-op funeral director. As funeral costs vary across the UK, this helps us give you a more accurate cost.
2. Additional information
You can choose to tell us a bit about the person the funeral is for. You can write as much or as little as you like or nothing at all. If you prefer, you can wait to do this when you speak to the funeral director in person.
3. Choose burial or cremation
Tell us if it will be a burial or cremation so we can give you the cost in that area using prices from the local cemetery or crematorium.
4. Personalise the service
Choose a hearse, coffin and any other items you want to add to personalise the funeral. You can add, change or remove items as often as you like to suit your budget and your wishes.
5. Share your ideas
When you’re finished, send the ideas to your funeral director or family and friends. Your funeral director will then get in touch to make the arrangements with you.
A tailored funeral can include almost anything you want it to and almost anything is possible. Here are some inspirational ideas to show you what you could include.
Traditional funerals are still very popular and are always a dignified, respectful day. You can add personal touches or keep it very traditional.
Something more unique
Adding contemporary or colourful touches to a funeral can help the day reflect the personality of the person the funeral is for.
Inspiring natural funerals
Arranging a more natural style of funeral can be as simple as the coffin or flowers you choose all the way to a woodland burial.
