A generous gift for Paignton Funeralcare

Funeral Director at Paignton Funeralcare, Simon Savage, was completely overwhelmed recently by the incredible gesture of a bereaved mother of a baby.

Having gone through such a tragic and traumatic experience losing her own baby, she wanted to play a part in making sure other parents were able to be assisted with the most dignity and respect possible. She decided to start fundraising, with the help of charity, Angel Wings, in order to purchase a Cuddle Cot to donate to a place where it would be needed.

Cuddle Cots look like conventional Moses baskets, but they have a cooling pad below the mattress allowing bereaved parents to spend precious time with their baby.

Speaking about the donation, Simon commented, “To come from such tragedy with the mind-set of wanting to help others that go through the same is an incredible thing to do and I am honoured to be a part of it.”
