Funeral quote guarantee terms and conditions

When we use the words “we”, “us” and “our”, we mean Funeral Services Limited, the Co-op Funeralcare business which will provide your funeral arrangements.

When we use the words ‘you’ we mean the customer, the person contacting us for a quote or the person redeeming the quote and arranging the funeral.

Quote guarantee offer

This quote guarantee offer is available from 27 October 2025 and only applies to quotes provided by us on funeral arrangements for Direct, Essential or Tailored funerals.

We will guarantee the Quote for up to 12 months from the date provided on the Quote documentation, subject to these terms and conditions.

A Quote cannot be retrospectively applied to a funeral if it is not provided to Co-op Funeralcare in accordance with these terms and conditions, at the time of redemption of a Quote.

Eligibility

The Funeral Quote Guarantee is available to UK residents aged 18 and over.

A Quote can only be provided for future Direct, Essential or Tailored funeral arrangements.

How to obtain a quote

You can contact us to obtain a Direct, Essential or Tailored funeral quote for yourself or a loved one, either over the phone or by visiting one of our funeral homes on or after the 27th October 2025.

A quote will be provided to you via email (or if specifically requested by post) detailing the cost of the funeral arrangements discussed with us (‘Quote’).

Products and services that can be included in a Quote are:

  • Our professional funeral service costs;

  • Additional products, services and personalisation options provided by us including (subject to the funeral type chosen);

  • Limos (Tailored funeral only);

  • Embalming (Essential and Tailored funerals only);

  • Coffins(Tailored funeral only);

  • Memorial products (Direct, Essential and Tailored funerals);

  • Stationery (Tailored funeral only); and

  • Flowers (Tailored funeral only)

Products and services that are excluded from the Quote include but are not limited to:

  • Crematoria costs;

  • Burial costs;

  • Officiant or celebrant costs; and

  • Other third-party costs including but not limited to catering.

Funeral plans and funeral plan quotes, funerals for those under the age of 18, repatriations and local authority funerals are also excluded from this offering.

If you wish to change any aspect of the Quote you have been provided, the Quote will be void and a new estimate of charges (‘New Quote’) will be produced in accordance with the prices of the products and services requested on the day the changes are requested.

How to redeem quote

If you wish to choose us as your preferred funeral provider, you must provide Co-op Funeralcare with a copy of the Quote, by bringing a physical or digital copy of the Quote to the funeral home, or by emailing a digital copy to the funeral home at the time of Quote redemption.

The guaranteed price will only apply to those services contained within the Quote at the location as stated on the Quote. Any products or services that you wish to add or change, will be subject to a revised quote reflecting the pricing of those products and services at the time the changes are requested. If you wish to change the location of the funeral at any time, the Quote will be void and a New Quote will be provided in accordance with the prices for the requested products and services as provided by the new funeral home at the date the New Quote is produced.

There may be circumstances when we cannot provide a product or service included in the Quote due to operational and other such circumstances outside of our control. In such circumstances, we reserve the right to remove such products or services from the Quote and/or revise the price of a Quote.

A Quote cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer, other than Co-op Membership.

Each Quote can only be used once and if the Quote is not redeemed within the 12 months from the date of issue, it will expire and cannot be used.

No purchase necessary

Receiving a Quote does not form a binding contract, and you are free to choose another funeral provider or change the products and services contained within the Quote at the time of redemption. This may be subject to additional charges.

Cancellation or withdrawal of the promotion or changes to the terms and conditions

We reserve the right at our absolute discretion to withdraw or cancel this promotion without prior notice and without liability to any party if it becomes necessary to do so. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

Decision of Co-op Funeralcare

If there is any dispute about the receipt or validity of any Quote, this will be decided by Us. Our decision regarding any aspect of a Quote is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. We reserve the right to cancel or amend this promotion or any Quote due to events or circumstances arising beyond its control.

No responsibility for quotes not received

We accept no responsibility for lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, or delayed Quotes. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted or secure access to obtaining a Quote. We accept no responsibility for Quotes not successfully received, or which are delayed, due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network, or server failure of any kind whether or not such failure is within the control of us or our agents.

Relevant Law

This promotion and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts if any dispute arises.
