Decluttering tips for a safer, less-stressful home
How to take better summer snaps
During the summer months and holiday season, we all take more photographs and most of us capture them with our smartphones.
To improve your camera album, here’s 5 tips to take snaps you’ll want to look at and share.
Composition of the image
Imagine your photo is divided into a grid of 9. The subject of the image should be on or inside one of these sections.
Make people comfortable
If you’re taking a picture of a person or people, it’s important that they are comfortable. Make sure they're in surroundings where they feel at ease and distract them or make them laugh.
Research
It’s so easy nowadays to take a look at other people’s photos for inspiration. Do some browsing online and see what you like about certain images.
Don’t forget the angles
Shooting straight on is the easiest choice but if you’re experimenting with angles, think about what you want to show.
Clean your lens
This is important when you are using a smartphone as they get carried around everywhere. Be careful what you wipe the camera lens with though, as coarse materials could damage it over time. A softer material like a microfibre cloth should efficiently clean smudges from the lens.
If you're out taking snaps with your smartphone, don't forget to add personal possessions cover to your home insurance plan.
