We work with both Thorncliff and Beetham crematoriums, and we'll help you choose which is right for your family's needs. Our team will coordinate everything with the crematorium, from booking the service time to ensuring all the necessary paperwork is completed properly. We'll explain what happens on the day and can accompany you throughout, so you know exactly what to expect and never feel alone in the process.
The first step is simply to call us, and we'll guide you through everything from there. Our Barrow team will arrange to bring your loved one into our care, help you register the death, and sit down with you to plan the funeral at a pace that suits you. We've been doing this since the 1970s, so we understand that many families are arranging a funeral for the first time, and we'll give you all the practical support and advice you need without any pressure.
Yes, we have our own chapel of rest here on Roose Road where you can visit your loved one in peaceful, private surroundings whenever you'd like. We also have a service venue on-site, which means you can hold the funeral ceremony right here at our Barrow branch if that feels more personal or convenient for your family. Our team will make sure everything is arranged with the care and dignity your loved one deserves, in a place that's been at the heart of this community for decades.
Our Barrow branch serves families across the local area, including Dalton-in-Furness, Millom, Foxfield and Askam-in-Furness. We've been part of this community since the 1970s, so we know the area well and can help with all the practical arrangements wherever you are. Whether you're in Barrow itself or one of the surrounding towns, our team is here to support you.
We arrange funerals that reflect all beliefs and backgrounds, whether you'd like a traditional church service, a ceremony at Swarthmoor Hall for Quaker families, or a non-religious celebration of life. Our experienced team has supported families from many different traditions over the decades we've been in Barrow. We'll listen carefully to what matters to you and make sure every detail honours your loved one in the way that feels right.
