Yes, our team on New Kirk Road is very familiar with families from Milngavie and the surrounding area, and we are glad to help you through every stage of arranging a funeral. Whether you need us to collect your loved one, guide you through the paperwork, or simply talk through your options, we are here for you. Distance is no barrier, and we will come to you when you need us.
When you are ready, call our team on New Kirk Road and we will take care of bringing your loved one into our care — day or night, there is always someone available to help. You do not need to have made any decisions about the funeral before you call; the only important thing in those first hours is that you are not left managing things alone. We can also talk you through the registration process and the paperwork required, including what needs to happen before a funeral can go ahead in Scotland.
Absolutely — we arrange all kinds of services, from traditional religious ceremonies to fully secular humanist funerals and everything in between. Our team on New Kirk Road will sit down with you in our ground-floor arrangement room to understand what mattered most to your loved one and shape a service that feels genuinely personal. Families from Bishopbriggs to Clydebank have trusted us to create meaningful farewells that reflect a life lived, whatever the beliefs involved.
A cremation service typically begins with a gathering at a crematorium, where family and friends come together to hear music, readings, or personal tributes chosen by your family. Our team at Bearsden will help you plan every detail in advance, so that on the day you can focus entirely on being present with those who matter. Afterwards, we will guide you through the options for the ashes, whether that is keeping them, scattering them somewhere meaningful, or interment — perhaps in one of the peaceful green spaces around Strathblane.
There is street parking available on and near New Kirk Road, though please be aware that some restrictions apply, so it is worth allowing a little extra time when visiting us. Our arrangement room is on the ground floor, which means families do not need to manage any stairs when they come in to make arrangements, and we do have an accessible toilet on site. If you have any concerns about access before your visit — particularly for anyone with mobility needs — please do ring us ahead of time and our team will do their best to help.
