Not at all. Our Bridlington funeral home on St John Street serves families across a wide area of the East Riding, including Rudston, Burton Agnes, Fraisthorpe, and Beeford, as well as coastal villages such as Bempton and Skipsea. Wherever you are, our team will come to you, and you are always welcome to visit us here in Bridlington to make arrangements in person.
Absolutely — and it is something our team arranges regularly for families across Bridlington and the surrounding East Riding communities. A non-religious or civil funeral can be just as meaningful and personal as any other, with a celebrant leading the service, music your father loved, and tributes from the people who knew him best. We will work with you to shape a farewell that truly reflects his life rather than following a set format.
Our funeral home on St John Street is fully accessible at ground level, and there is both street parking nearby and a free car park a short distance away, making it as straightforward as possible for everyone in your family to visit. Our arrangement room is on the ground floor and we also have an accessible toilet on site, so nobody should feel anxious about getting in or moving around. If you are coming from further afield — say, Scarborough Woodlands or Bempton — it is worth calling ahead so our team can be ready to welcome you as soon as you arrive.
Our Bridlington funeral home on St John Street is here whenever you need us, and we can arrange for your loved one to be brought into our care at any time of day or night — you do not need to wait until morning or a weekday. Once that first step is taken, there is no immediate pressure; our team will guide you gently through what paperwork and decisions need to happen and in what order. Families from across the East Riding, including those in Beeford and Fraisthorpe, rely on us to take that first call and carry some of the weight for them.
On the day of a cremation, our team will collect your loved one and travel with them to the crematorium, where the service itself typically lasts around 20 to 30 minutes, though this can vary depending on the time booked. Families gathered in Bridlington or nearby villages like Buckton can expect a structured but personal ceremony — music, readings, or a tribute can all be included to reflect who your loved one was. Afterwards, we can advise you on the return of ashes and any memorial options that feel right for your family.
