We work with three crematoriums depending on what suits your family best, Torquay, Exeter, and Plymouth The Park. On the day, our team will travel with your loved one in the procession and stay with you throughout the service so you are never left to navigate things alone. We can advise you on the differences between each location, including journey times from Buckfastleigh, to help you choose the right one.
Yes, we cover South Brent and the surrounding area, including Buckfastleigh, Ashburton, Rattery, Dartmoor and Buckfast. Our team has been serving these communities since 1978, so we know the local area well and can be with you quickly when you need us. Please do get in touch and we will talk you through everything at a pace that feels right for your family.
We have a ground floor arrangement room here at our Buckfastleigh funeral home, set up to welcome up to four people comfortably, so you can bring close family members with you when we sit down to plan things together. The building is fully wheelchair accessible and we also have an accessible toilet on site. There are two on-site parking spaces, and a paid car park nearby, so getting to us from Ashburton or South Brent should be straightforward.
We regularly work with local churches and venues across the area, including Buckfast Abbey, St Luke's Church in Buckfastleigh, St Andrew's Church in Ashburton, and St Petroc's in South Brent. Whether the service is a traditional Christian funeral, a non-religious celebration of life, or a humanist gathering, we will work with the officiant of your choice to create something that truly reflects the person who died. Our team is here to coordinate all the details so your family can focus on being together.
You don't need to have everything figured out straight away, and you can call us at any time, day or night, and we will guide you through what needs to happen first. When you are ready, our team will collect your loved one and bring them into our care at our funeral home on Plymouth Road in Buckfastleigh. From there, we will help you understand the paperwork, register the death, and begin making arrangements in your own time.
