We have experience arranging a wide range of funerals, including Afro-Caribbean, Catholic, Church of England, and Humanist services, and we work with local churches such as St Laurence, St John's, St Mary the Virgin, and St Saviour's. Every family is different, and our team will take the time to understand what matters most to you, whether that means specific music, readings, rituals, or traditions. Nothing is too much to ask, and we will always do our best to honour your loved one in the way that feels most true to who they were.
Our team at Catford is available around the clock, so you can call us at any time of the day or night and we will be there to help, including coming to bring your loved one into our care. Once they are with us, we will walk you through the practical steps at a pace that suits you, including registering the death at Lewisham Register Office and any paperwork that needs to be completed. You do not need to have everything figured out straight away, our team will make sure nothing is missed and that you feel supported from the very first call.
Yes, our team at Catford covers a wide area across south-east London, including Brockley, Deptford, Lewisham, Hither Green, and Lee. Wherever you are in the local area, we can come to you and take care of everything your family needs. You are never too far from the support and guidance our team at Rushey Green can offer.
Our funeral home on Rushey Green is fully wheelchair accessible, and we have done everything we can to make visiting as straightforward as possible for everyone. For parking, there is restricted street parking directly outside the funeral home which offers one hour free, and the nearby Aldi car park is a convenient option if you need a little longer. Pay by phone on-street parking is also available in the area. Our chapel of rest is available for families who wish to spend time with their loved one in a quiet, private setting before the funeral.
Our Catford funeral home works closely with Hither Green, Honor Oak, Beckenham, and Eltham crematoriums, so we can help your family choose a location that feels right. On the day itself, our team will guide you through every moment, from the arrival of the cortège to the committal, ensuring everything runs smoothly and with the dignity your loved one deserves. We will have spoken with the crematorium in advance so that your family can focus entirely on saying goodbye.
