There are pay and display car parks close by to our funeral home on George Street, and Lancaster Town Hall and Lancaster Castle are nearby landmarks that can help you find your bearings if it's your first visit. Our funeral home is on the ground floor, fully accessible by wheelchair, and we have an accessible toilet on site, so every member of your family is welcome and catered for. If you're unsure about finding us or have any specific access needs, please call ahead and our team will be happy to help.
We have longstanding relationships with local churches including Lancaster Cathedral, St Paul's, St Thomas's, and St Joseph's, so whether your family wants a traditional Church of England or Roman Catholic service, we can arrange this with the relevant minister or priest. Equally, if you'd prefer a non-religious or humanist service, we can help you create something that reflects your loved one's life and values entirely on its own terms. Our team will listen carefully to what matters most to your family and build the service around that.
We are here around the clock, every day of the year, so please don't hesitate to call us at any hour - our team on George Street will answer and help you take the very next step. We can arrange to collect your father with care and bring him into our chapel of rest, giving your family time and space before any decisions need to be made. There is no pressure to have everything worked out straight away; we will explain the paperwork and next steps gently, at a pace that suits you.
Yes, our team on George Street cares for families across Galgate, Scotforth, Skerton, Heysham, and Torrisholme, as well as Lancaster itself. Wherever you are in the area, we can come to you and guide your family through every step at whatever pace feels right. You don't need to worry about whether you're too far - simply call us and we'll take it from there.
We work with Lancaster and Morecambe Crematorium as well as Beetham Crematorium, depending on your family's wishes and circumstances. On the day, our team will travel with your loved one and help coordinate every detail, from the arrival of the procession to the music and any readings you've chosen. We'll talk you through what to expect at whichever crematorium feels right for your family, so there are no surprises.
