We're a funeral home in the heart of Risca, serving the communities of Pontymister, Rogerstone, High Cross and Crosskeys since 1990. Our clients describe us as "patient, kind, and compassionate". These are words we live by every day as we strive to give everyone who comes to us the best experience possible when arranging a funeral.

Our team at Risca is available around the clock, so you can call us at any time, day or night, and we will be there to help bring your loved one into our care. Once they are with us here on Commercial Street, we will talk you through what needs to happen next, including registering the death at the local register office in Risca, at your own pace. There is no pressure to make every decision immediately, and we will be with your family every step of the way.
Yes, our Risca funeral home on Commercial Street covers Crosskeys, as well as the surrounding communities of Pontymister, Rogerstone, High Cross, and Wattsville. Wherever you are in the valley, our team can come to you and guide your family through every step of the arrangements. You are always welcome to visit us in Risca to talk things through in person.
We work with Sirhowy Valley, Langstone Vale, and Gwent crematoriums, and our team will help your family choose whichever feels right. On the day, we lead the procession from wherever the service begins, whether that is here at our Risca funeral home or at a church such as St Mary's, and we stay with you throughout. Our staff handle all the coordination with the crematorium so your family can focus entirely on saying goodbye.
We are equally comfortable arranging a non-religious celebration of life and a traditional church service, and we will follow your family's wishes entirely. We have longstanding relationships with local churches including Bethany Baptist Church, Moriah Baptist Church, St Margaret's Church, and St Mary's Church in the area. If you have a specific venue or celebrant in mind, we are happy to work with whoever means the most to your family.
We have five on-site parking spaces directly at our Commercial Street funeral home, and there is also street parking available on nearby side streets if those are taken. The building is fully wheelchair accessible with a ground floor arrangement room, so your whole family can come in comfortably without any worry about steps or difficult access. We do ask that visitors be aware of the one hour restriction on high street parking spaces if you are planning a longer visit with our team.
