Yes, our team at J & W Goudie on Maxwellton Street covers a wide area across Renfrewshire, including Bishopton, Renfrew, Elderslie, Erskine, and Johnstone, as well as Paisley itself. No matter where you are in the area, we will come to you and support your family every step of the way. Distance is never a barrier to the care we provide.
We have been arranging funerals of all kinds since 1881, and we work regularly with local churches including St Mirin's Cathedral, St Mary's RC Church, Oakshaw Trinity Church, Paisley South Church, and St Charles RC, as well as Humanist celebrants for non-religious services. Whatever your family's faith, tradition, or personal belief, we will listen carefully and build a funeral that feels right for the person who has died. Our role is always to reflect who they were, not to fit a template.
You can call us at any time, day or night, and we will come to you, our team is available around the clock to bring your father into our care with dignity and gentleness. Once he is with us at our funeral home on Maxwellton Street in Paisley, we will talk you through the paperwork, including the registration of the death, at a pace that suits your family. There is no need to have everything worked out before you call; we will help you through each step as it comes.
We work closely with Woodside, Hurlet, Clydebank, and Craigton crematoriums, so your family has a genuine choice about where the service takes place. On the day itself, our team will guide you through every moment, from the procession to the committal, so that you can focus entirely on being together and honouring your loved one. We will have made all the arrangements in advance, meaning nothing is left to chance when it matters most.
Our funeral home on Maxwellton Street in Paisley has a chapel of rest where your family can visit and spend quiet time with your loved one before the funeral, which many families find a great comfort. We also have our own service venue with space for up to 70 people, so if you would prefer to hold the service with us rather than at a church or crematorium, that is entirely possible. On-site parking is available, and the building is fully wheelchair accessible, so everyone who needs to be there can be there without difficulty.
