We work closely with St Paul's RC Church, as well as New Life Church and Shettleston New Parish Church of Scotland, and we are experienced in arranging services that honour your faith and traditions with the respect they deserve. Our team will liaise directly with the clergy and venue on your behalf, so your family can focus on being together rather than coordinating logistics. Whatever form of service — religious, secular, or a blend of both — we will make sure it reflects the life of the person who died.
Our Shettleston funeral home is here around the clock, so you can call us at any hour and someone from our team will answer and begin guiding you through the immediate steps. We can arrange to bring your loved one into our care from home, a hospital, or a care facility, and we will talk you through the paperwork — such as registering the death at Glasgow City Council — at a pace that suits you. You do not need to have any decisions made before you call; our first priority is simply to make sure your family feels supported from that very first moment.
On the day of the cremation, our team will guide your family through every stage so that nothing feels uncertain or rushed. We will arrange for your loved one to leave from Shettleston Road with care, and the service itself — whether held at one of the local venues we work with, such as Shettleston New Parish Church of Scotland, or elsewhere — typically lasts around 30 to 45 minutes before the committal takes place at the crematorium. Afterwards, we will help you understand the options for the ashes and talk through any next steps at whatever pace feels right for your family.
Yes, our team covers Carmyle, as well as the surrounding areas of Budhill, Carntyne, Greenfield, Daldowie, and Craigton. We have been caring for families along Shettleston Road and across the east end of Glasgow since 1970, so wherever you are in this part of the city, we are here for you. Please do get in touch and we will talk you through how we can help.
There is a small number of spaces directly outside the funeral home on Shettleston Road, and a car park to the rear of the building which is shared with NHS workers and the nearby school but is open for families to use. Street parking is also available close by, though a payment is required for some of those spaces. Our funeral home is fully accessible at ground level, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, an accessible toilet, and a ground-floor arrangement room, so every member of your family is able to visit comfortably.
