Co-op Funeralcare, St Marys
122 St. Marys Road, Southampton, SO14 0BJ
We're proud to have served our community in St Mary's since 1980. In that time, our funeral home has helped countless families, offering the practical guidance and advice they need to arrange a fitting send off for a loved one. Whether you live in St Mary's or surrounding areas like Bevois Valley, The Polygon or Portswood, no one knows the area and its people better than our team.
Over the years our team have built strong connections with local funeral celebrants, religious leaders, and many places of worship. This means we can help support you in arranging the funeral that feels personal and right for you and your family. If you're not sure, we can help with inspiration and creative ways to remember them. We're also known for helping to arrange Sikh and Hindu funerals, too.
You're always welcome at our St Mary's Road funeral home in person or just pick up the phone and chat to one of our friendly, professional team. We're here to listen, support and take you through every step.

Yes, our St Mary's funeral home is well placed to serve families across Bevois Valley, The Polygon, Portswood and the surrounding St Mary's area. Whether you are close to us on St Mary's Road or a little further afield, our team will come to you and support you every step of the way.
We have experience supporting Sikh, Hindu and Christian Church of England families, and we understand how important it is that the service reflects the traditions and beliefs that mattered to the person who died. Our team will work closely with you, your family and any religious leaders to make sure every detail, from the order of the service to cultural observances, is handled with the care and respect it deserves, whether that takes place locally or at one of the crematoriums we use such as Wessex Vale.
You do not need to have everything figured out straight away, and our team at St Mary's is here to guide you from the very beginning, day or night. One of the most immediate things we can help with is bringing your loved one into our care from their home, a hospital, or anywhere else in the St Mary's area, and once they are with us on St Mary's Road, you can take a breath before we sit down together to talk through the arrangements at a pace that suits you.
There is restricted street parking just outside the funeral home on Oxford Avenue, which is free for up to two hours, which is usually plenty of time for an arrangement meeting. If you need longer or prefer off-street parking, the Compton Walk Car Park is directly opposite and is payable. Our ground-floor arrangement room seats up to seven people comfortably, and wheelchair access is available, so please do let us know of any needs beforehand and we will make sure everything is ready for your family.
We work with Southampton Crematorium, Test Valley Crematorium and Wessex Vale Crematorium, and our team will help you choose whichever feels right for your family. On the day, we will lead the procession from the agreed location, travelling with you to the crematorium where our team will be present throughout the service to make sure everything goes smoothly and your loved one is honoured with dignity.
