We work with a number of local churches and faith communities, including St Eustachius' Church in the heart of Tavistock, Tavistock Methodist Church, Tavistock Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Church in Bere Alston. Whether the funeral service follows a traditional religious format or reflects a more personal set of beliefs, our team will help you find the right venue and work with the officiant to create something that feels true to the person who died.
We have two arrangement rooms at our Brook Street funeral home, each comfortably accommodating up to ten people, and both are on the ground floor, which makes them fully accessible for anyone with mobility needs. If you are driving in from Yelverton or further afield, we have eight on-site parking spaces and there is free all-day parking on nearby Parkwood Street, so finding somewhere to leave the car should not add to the stress of the day.
Our Tavistock funeral home on Brook Street is well placed to support families across Horrabridge, Bere Alston, Yelverton, Buckland Monachorum and the surrounding area. Our team is used to travelling throughout this part of Devon, and we can talk through everything you need from the very first call, wherever you are based.
We regularly use Tamar Valley, Plymouth at the Park, Glynn Valley and Treswithian Downs crematoriums, and we will help you choose the one that feels right for your family and your journey on the day. Our team will guide the procession from Tavistock and stay with you throughout the service, making sure everything runs as you have planned and that your loved one is cared for with complete dignity.
You can call our Brook Street funeral home at any time, day or night, and our team will talk you through everything, including bringing your loved one into our care when the time is right for you. We understand that the paperwork and practicalities can feel overwhelming in those early hours, so we will explain each step clearly and at your own pace, starting with what needs to happen before we can begin making arrangements.
