A cremation service typically begins with a gathering at a church or ceremony venue, and we regularly work with local places of worship such as St Patrick's Catholic Church and St Mark's Church in Thornaby when families wish to hold a service before the cremation takes place. On the day itself, our team will guide your family through every stage, from the arrival of the cortège to the committal, so nothing feels uncertain or rushed. We take care of all the coordination behind the scenes so that you can focus entirely on being together and saying goodbye in the way that feels right.
Yes, our team on Thornaby Road serves families across Ingleby Barwick, Stockton, and the wider Teesside area, so wherever you are based locally, we can come to you. We understand that at a time like this, you need people you can rely on close to home, and our team is here to support your family every step of the way.
When someone dies, our team on Thornaby Road is available to take your call and talk you through what needs to happen next, including arranging for your loved one to be brought gently into our care. We can help you understand the paperwork and registration requirements, and there is no pressure to make any decisions about the funeral immediately — we will move at a pace that feels right for your family. The most important thing is that you are not facing those first difficult hours alone.
We work closely with a number of local churches and can help arrange services at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Christ The King Catholic Church, Thornaby Baptist Church, and St Mark's Church, depending on your family's faith and wishes. Whether you follow a traditional Catholic order of service, a Baptist ceremony, or any other Christian tradition, our team will liaise directly with the clergy on your behalf to make sure every detail reflects what matters to your family.
Our funeral home on Thornaby Road has been serving the Thornaby and wider Teesside community since 1928, so families here have trusted us through many generations. We have a chapel of rest where you are warmly welcome to spend private time with your loved one, and our arrangement room on the ground floor is fully accessible, with wheelchair access, an accessible toilet, and parking directly in front of the funeral home so that visiting is as easy as possible during a difficult time.
