Wylie & Lochhead Funeralcare, Uddingston
8 Main Street, Uddingston, G71 7HD
We're a funeral home in the heart of Uddingston, serving the communities of Bothwell, Blantyre, Cambuslang and Bellshill since 1997. Our clients describe us as "patient, kind, and compassionate". These are words we live by every day as we strive to give everyone who comes to us the best experience possible when arranging a funeral.
Our team are good listeners, and that's the first thing we will do when we talk with you. That way we can help you arrange the funeral that feels right. We have longstanding relationships with local crematoriums and churches like Uddingston Old Parish Church, Park Church and Daldowie, South Lanarkshire and Holytown crematoriums. We also know many of the local religious leaders and some wonderful funeral celebrants.
A funeral arrangement meeting with us is a conversation over a cup of tea as we decide and arrange things together. When you need us, call us or come and see us on Main Street.

Yes, our Uddingston funeral home on Main Street is here to support families across Bothwell, Blantyre, Cambuslang, Bellshill, and the surrounding communities. Wherever you are in the area, our team will come to you and guide you through every step of the arrangements. You are never too far away for us to help.
We work closely with Daldowie, South Lanarkshire, and Holytown crematoriums, and our team will help you choose the one that feels right for your family. On the day itself, we take care of everything, from the cortège leaving our Uddingston funeral home to accompanying you and your loved ones throughout the service. Our role is to make sure the day runs smoothly so your family can focus entirely on saying goodbye.
We have experience arranging a wide range of services, including Catholic, Christian, Humanist, Hindu, and Sikh funerals, and we work with local venues such as Uddingston Old Parish Church, Park Church, and St John the Baptist RC to help create a service that truly reflects your loved one's life and beliefs. If your family has particular traditions or wishes that matter to you, please tell us and we will do everything we can to honour them. There is no single way to say goodbye, and we are here to make sure the service feels right for you.
We are available around the clock, so whenever you need us, day or night, you can call our Uddingston funeral home and someone from our team will be there to help. We can come to bring your loved one into our care from their home, a hospital, or a care facility, and we will talk you through the paperwork, including the death certificate and any registration requirements, at a pace that feels manageable for your family. You do not need to have everything figured out straight away; our first priority is simply making sure your loved one is safe in our care while you take the time you need.
Our funeral home on Main Street has been serving the Uddingston community since 1997, and we have a chapel of rest where families can spend quiet, private time with their loved one. We also have a service venue with space for up to 40 people, which can be a comforting option for smaller, more intimate gatherings. The funeral home is fully wheelchair accessible, and there are free parking spaces available for up to two hours at the rear of the building, so families can visit without any added stress.
