On the day of a cremation, our team will bring your loved one's coffin to our Hill Street funeral home, where family and friends can gather before the service begins. We can hold the service here in our own on-site chapel, which seats up to 65 people, before we escort your loved one to the crematorium, allowing you to travel together as a family. We will walk you through every part of the day in advance so nothing feels unexpected, and our team stays with you throughout to offer quiet, steady support.
Yes, our team on Hill Street is here to help families across Carluke, as well as Motherwell, Lanark, Craigneuk, Holytown and the wider South Lanarkshire area. Distance is never a barrier when a family needs support, and we will come to you wherever you are. Please do get in touch and we will talk through everything at a pace that suits you.
You can call us at any time, day or night, and our team will come to bring your father into our care from Motherwell or wherever he needs to be collected from. We know the first hours are overwhelming, so we will handle the collection gently and then guide you through the paperwork and next steps when you are ready to sit down with us. Our arrangement rooms on Hill Street are quiet and private, accommodating up to five people, so you can bring close family members and take all the time you need.
Absolutely — we arrange all kinds of services here on Hill Street, whether that means a traditional religious ceremony, a fully secular celebration of life, or something that blends personal meaning with elements of faith. Our team will listen carefully to what feels right for your family and help shape a service that truly reflects the person who has died. There is no single right way to say goodbye, and we are here to make sure the farewell is as individual as the life lived.
We have six on-site parking spaces directly at our Hill Street funeral home, and there is a large free car park at the bottom of the street as well as on-street parking nearby, so finding a space is rarely difficult even when families arrive together. The building is fully accessible, with wheelchair access, an accessible toilet, and a ground-floor arrangement room, meaning everyone in your family can be with you when it matters most. We have been serving families in Wishaw and the surrounding area since 1948, and making sure you feel comfortable and welcome from the moment you arrive has always been at the heart of what we do.
