We work with York Crematorium and know the staff and surroundings there well, which means we can help your family feel prepared and at ease before the day arrives. Our team will take care of all the coordination, from the timing of the cortège to liaising with the crematorium on your behalf, so you can focus entirely on being together. We'll talk you through exactly what to expect so nothing feels unfamiliar or rushed.
You can call our York funeral home on Cromwell Road at any time, day or night, and someone from our team will answer and begin helping you straight away. One of the first practical things we can do is arrange for the person who has died to be brought into our care, which many families find brings an immediate sense of calm. We can also talk you through the paperwork that will be needed, including registering the death, so you never feel alone with the administrative side of things during such a difficult time.
Yes, our York funeral home on Cromwell Road is here to support families across Bishopthorpe, Clifton, Central York, and the surrounding area. Wherever you are, our team will come to you and guide you through every step of the arrangements at whatever pace feels right for your family. Distance is never a barrier to the care we provide.
We are experienced in arranging funerals of all kinds, whether your family would like a service at St Wilfrid's Church or Edward the Confessor, a wholly secular celebration of life, or something in between. We take the time to listen to what mattered most to the person who died, so the service genuinely reflects who they were. There is no single right way to say goodbye, and our team will never steer your family towards one type of service over another.
We do have a chapel of rest at our Cromwell Road funeral home, where families are welcome to spend quiet, private time with the person who has died for as long as they need. It is a calm and carefully tended space, and our team will always be nearby if you need support during your visit. Please be aware that there is no on-site car parking and the building does not currently have full wheelchair access, so if either of those things is a concern, do speak to us when you call and we will do everything we can to make arrangements that work for your family.
