Pet member 10% discount offer terms and conditions
These terms and conditions relate to the pet member offer (the ‘trial’) which has been made available to certain Co-op Group Members. If selected, and by using this Trial, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.
The trial is operated by Co-operative Insurance Services Limited (part of Co-op Group) who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and appears on the Financial Services Register under register number 779364 (‘Co-op Insurance’). Any reference to ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’ in these Terms means Co-op Insurance. Any reference to ‘you’ or ‘your’ means the Co-op Member whose name is on the front of their Membership Card.
Opening and closing date
This trial runs from midnight 27 August 2024 to 23:59 on 27 October 2024 (the ‘trial period’).
Trial
If you have been selected to participate in the trial, you will be eligible to receive a 10% discount (the ‘discount’) on selected pet food, pet treats and pet accessories (‘pet products’), in Co-op Group Food stores only during the trial period. The discount has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
To qualify for possible selection, you must (1) be a member of Co-operative Group Limited, (2) have an existing pet insurance policy with Co-operative Insurance Services, , and (3) have consented to receiving Co-op Group Membership marketing materials. Exclusions and restrictions apply. UK residents and 18+ only. Proof of age/identity may be required. Any Co-op Group Membership cancelled during the trial period are not eligible for the discount. The underwriter reserves the right to decline any application for any insurance policy at its absolute discretion and is not obliged to disclose any reason for rejection.
Accessing discount
If selected to be a part of the trial, to access, Co-op Group Members must scan their valid Co-op Group membership card/app at the till in a Co-op Group Food store during the trial period. Temporary cardholders are excluded. Discount is linked to Co-op Group Member’s valid membership card – if a new membership card is received during the trial period, the discount will not be accessible. Member prices/discount may be able to be used in conjunction with other discounts or promotions, refer to the individual terms and conditions of any discount or promotion to see if this applies.
Discount and Member prices are not available in independent societies, Midcounties, Central England, Southern or Chelmsford Star co-operatives, some Co-op Live concessions stores, Co-op franchise stores or in non-Co-op branded stores (such as Nisa).

Decisions of the promoter
If there is any dispute about the receipt of validity of any use or any other aspect of the Trial, this will be decided by the promoter. The promoter’s decision regarding any aspect of the trial is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend this trial due to events or circumstances arising beyond its control. The promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions.
Agreement to these terms and conditions
Entry to this trial shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the trial. These terms and conditions prevail in the event of a conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.
Disqualification
We reserve the right to reject any use, withhold any discount and disqualify you from the trial if we reasonably suspect you of failing to comply with these terms and conditions or of fraud, cheating or dishonesty, without limitation, through the manipulation of codes, multiple computer-generated discounts, or otherwise fraudulently falsifying data or acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the promoter’s opinion. Discount must be used personally. Use of the discount made through agents/third-parties, bulk entries or automated entries are invalid.
Access to discount
The promoter cannot guarantee uninterrupted or secure access to the trial or discount. We accept no responsibility for the discount not successfully being redeemed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network, or server failure of any kind whether or not such failure is within the control of the Promoter or its agents.
Use of personal information to administer trial
We, other members of the Co-operative Group and any third-party agencies acting on our behalf, may collect personal information from you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and any other applicable data privacy laws. We, and other members of Co-operative Group Limited, will only use your information for the purposes of administering this trial. You have the right to ask that we stop any consent-based processing of your personal data after you withdraw that consent.
Cancellation or withdrawal of trial
We reserve the right at our absolute discretion to withdraw or cancel this trial without prior notice and without liability to any party if it becomes necessary to do so.
Changes to these terms and conditions
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Revised terms and conditions will be available at coop.co.uk/insurance/about-us/our-promotions/pet-products-discount. It is your responsibility to keep up to date with any such changes.
Limitation of liability
All conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law or otherwise in connection with the trial are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law and the promoter shall be under no liability whatsoever or howsoever arising in connection with any loss, damage or injury suffered as a direct result of the provision or use of the discount or entry to the trial. The promoter makes no attempt to exclude or limit its liability for death or personal injury arising as a result of its negligence.
Relevant law
This trial and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts if any dispute arises.
General
The promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. We cannot guarantee that the trial will be free from disruptions, failings, or cancellations. We are not liable for such disruptions, failings, or cancellations unless they are caused by our negligence.
