Cancelling your renters insurance policy

You can cancel your renters insurance policy at any time. But if you would like to explore ways to manage or change your cover, you can do this by logging into your account. We will show you how any changes affect your levels of cover before you confirm.

Renters insurance covers you against damage or theft, up to the contents cover level you select. It also covers accidental damage to your landlord’s property, which your tenancy agreement states you are responsible for.

Cancelling means you will no longer be covered for things that happen after the date your policy ends.

Making changes

If you have moved or want to change your cover levels, you can make amendments to your current policy through your online account.

This means you do not need to cancel and take out a new policy. We do not charge any fees for making changes, but if you increase your level of cover, this may increase your price.

You can also reduce your price if you choose a higher excess or remove add-ons.

If you have any problems, you can access our live chat via the login area or send us an email.
