31 Hargham Road, Attleborough, NR17 2ES
We're proud to have served our community in Attleborough since 1950. In that time, our funeral home has helped countless families, offering the practical guidance and advice they need to arrange a fitting send off for a loved one. Whether you live in Attleborough or surrounding areas like Hingham, Bunwell, Great Ellingham or Old Buckenham, no one knows the area and its people better than our team.
If you need to arrange a religious or non-religious funeral or one that simply reflects someone's culture or beliefs, we can help you. We know all the local churches, places of worship and crematoriums, including St Mary's Church Attleborough, The Lighthouse Centre and Amoghasiddhi Kadampa Buddhist Centre and Breckland, Earlham, St Faith's and Colney Wood crematoriums. We can also help you find a friendly funeral celebrant or religious leader to take the service.
Whether you prefer a chat over the phone or in person at our Hargham Rd funeral home, we're here to listen, guide you through your options, and support you at every step.

Yes, our team at RJ Bartram & Son on Hargham Road serves families across a wide area of Norfolk, including Old Buckenham, New Buckenham, Bunwell, Great Ellingham, and Spooner Row. We also cover Attleborough, Hingham, and communities stretching into Breckland and beyond. Wherever you are in the area, we are here to help you.
We are available around the clock, so you can call us at any time of day or night and our team will answer. Once you are ready, we can come to wherever your father has died — whether that is a home in Hingham, a hospital, or a care setting — and bring him into our care with dignity and gentleness. There is no pressure to make any arrangements immediately; we will help you understand what needs to happen and when, and take each step at a pace that feels manageable for your family.
Our team has experience arranging funerals for families from many different faiths and cultural traditions, including Sikh, Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, and Catholic communities. We work closely with families to ensure every detail — from ritual washing and preparation to the choice of readings and music — reflects the beliefs of the person who has died and the wishes of those who loved them. We can also liaise with the Amoghasiddhi Kadampa Buddhist Centre, St Mary's Church Attleborough, or any other place of worship your family uses.
On the day of a cremation service, our team will guide your family through everything from the time we leave for the service to the committal itself, so you never feel uncertain about what comes next. We work with your chosen officiant — whether that is a celebrant, a minister from The Methodist Church in Attleborough, or a humanist — to shape a service that feels right for the person who has died. Timings are agreed with you in advance, and we make sure every member of your family knows exactly where to be and when.
We have twelve on-site parking spaces at our funeral home on Hargham Road, Attleborough, so families arriving by car should find it straightforward. Our arrangement room is on the ground floor, and the building is fully wheelchair accessible with an accessible toilet available. If anyone in your family has mobility needs or any other requirements, please let us know when you call and we will make sure everything is ready for your visit.
