Co-op Funeralcare, Ferndale
10 High Street, Ferndale, CF43 4RN
Our funeral home in Ferndale in the Rhondda has been serving the local community since 1990. During that time, we've come to know and love our local area well. We cover areas in and around Ferndale in the Rhondda, including Tylorstown, Ferndale, Maerdy and Blaenllechau. We're here to give you a friendly, reliable and sensitively planned funeral service at your time of need.
We will be led by you in making the funeral arrangements. We will listen as you tell us about who they were and what feels right for them. Then we will use our established relationships with local places of worship and crematoriums in the area, like St Dunstan's Church and Holy Trinity Church to create the funeral that feels right.
When you need to arrange a funeral, pick up the phone or visit us in person at our funeral home on High Street. You'll get a warm welcome, unlimited support and our help every step of the way.

We regularly arrange both Humanist and Christian services, including Church of England funerals at local venues such as St Dunstan's Church and Holy Trinity Church. Whatever your family's beliefs or traditions, our team will work with the right celebrant or officiant to create a service that genuinely reflects the person who died.
You can call our Ferndale funeral home on High Street at any time, day or night, and we will arrange to bring the person who died into our care as soon as you are ready. From that first call, our team will talk you through the paperwork, explain what needs to happen and when, and make sure you never feel like you have to face those early hours alone.
Yes, our team covers Maerdy as well as the wider Rhondda communities including Tylorstown, Blaenllechau, and Ynyshir. Whether you are in Maerdy or closer to our High Street funeral home in Ferndale, we will come to you and support your family every step of the way.
Our Ferndale team most commonly uses Glyntaff Crematorium and Llwydcoed Crematorium, depending on your family's wishes and circumstances. On the day, we will lead the procession to the crematorium, guide you through the arrival and the service, and make sure everything feels calm and considered for everyone attending.
Yes, we have a chapel of rest at our High Street funeral home where you are welcome to spend quiet, private time with the person who died. The building is fully accessible at ground level with wheelchair access and an accessible toilet, and if you are driving, there is street parking nearby as well as space to park on the hill by the chapel.
