You do not need to have everything figured out straight away, and our team at our Pantglas Road funeral home is available to take your call whenever you need us, day or night. We can arrange to bring your loved one into our care, including from local addresses in Merthyr Vale and the surrounding area, and we will walk you through the paperwork and next steps gently, so nothing feels overwhelming at such a difficult time.
Yes, our team on Pantglas Road is here to support families across Troedyrhiw and the surrounding villages, including Merthyr Vale, Darren Las, Mount Pleasant, Pentrebach, and Abercanaid. We know these communities well, and whether your family needs us to come to you or you would like to visit us, we will make sure everything is arranged with care from the very start.
Our funeral home on Pantglas Road has a chapel of rest where families can spend quiet, private time with their loved one before the funeral, and we also have an on-site service venue that can hold up to 59 people if you would prefer to hold the service here rather than at a local church such as Jerusalem Chapel in Pentrebach. The building is fully wheelchair accessible with a ground floor arrangement room and an accessible toilet, and there is on-site parking as well as street parking nearby, so we hope visiting us is as easy as possible for everyone in your family.
We have a great deal of experience supporting Catholic, Humanist, and Church of England families across the area, and we are happy to work alongside clergy, celebrants, or officiants of your choosing. We have longstanding relationships with local venues including St John's in Troedyrhiw and Carmel Chapel, also in Troedyrhiw, so we can help you find the right setting for a service that truly honours your loved one's beliefs and wishes.
We work with three crematoriums, Llwydcoed, Glyntaff, and Sirhowy, and we will help your family choose the one that feels right, whether that is based on location, personal preference, or the type of service you have in mind. On the day itself, our team will guide the procession from your chosen starting point, and we will be with you throughout the service to make sure everything runs smoothly and reflects your loved one in the way they deserve.
