We're a well‑established funeral home in Macclesfield, proudly serving the community here since 2011. We're dedicated to giving you and your family the care and support you need when arranging a funeral, whether you live in Gawsworth, Prestbury or Henbury. We're here to help.
Whatever your religion, culture or beliefs, we can help you arrange the funeral that feels right. Whether it's religious, non-religious or a celebration of life. We have close links with all the local places of worship and crematoriums, including St Thomas', St Alban's and St Peter's and Macclesfield and Vale Royal crematoriums. We also know and work with many local clergy and wonderful funeral celebrants.

All funeral directors are legally required to publish price lists for their products and services. This is to help you understand your options and compare prices between different funeral directors, because prices can vary.
You’ll need to pay 50% of the funeral cost within 2 days of making the arrangements and the rest after the funeral has taken place.

We accept cash, credit or debit card as well as Apple Pay or Google Pay payments.
If you have an invoice, you can pay for the funeral online.

You can pay in full, spread the cost over 6 or 12 months with no additional costs or monthly instalments over 2–25 years (2-5 years for Direct Cremation). There's an additional instalment charge when paying over 2-25 years and age restrictions apply.

Please do call us, we are here around the clock and there is no wrong time to get in touch after someone you love has died. We can arrange for your father to be brought into our care, and once you are ready we can sit down together in our ground-floor arrangement room here at Broken Cross, which comfortably seats up to eight people, to begin planning at a pace that suits you.

Parking is straightforward when you visit us at Broken Cross, as there are 12 free spaces in the car park right next door to the funeral home, with additional street parking nearby and a Tesco close by if needed. Our building is fully accessible at ground level and we have a wheelchair-accessible toilet, so please let us know in advance if there is anything we can do to make your visit more comfortable.
We arrange funerals for families of all faiths and none, and we have longstanding relationships with local churches including St Thomas', St Alban's, St Peter's, and St James' in and around Macclesfield. Our team will listen carefully to what matters most to your family and make sure the service reflects the beliefs and wishes of the person who died.
We work with Macclesfield Crematorium and Vale Royal Crematorium, and we will help you decide which feels right for your family and your circumstances. On the day, our team will travel with your loved one and guide your family through the service, taking care of every detail so you can focus on being together and saying a proper goodbye.
