We are just as experienced in arranging non-religious and civil ceremonies as we are in working with churches like St Peter's and St Andrew's, and we will always follow the wishes of your family and the person who died. A celebrant-led service can take place at a crematorium, a community hall, or another venue that held meaning for your loved one. Our team will help you find the right setting and the right words, whatever your beliefs or background.
Families visiting us on Sandon Road tend to park on Ednam Place nearby, which is just a short walk from our door. Our funeral home has been welcoming families since 2005 and is fully accessible at ground level, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, a ground floor arrangement room, and an accessible toilet, so there are no barriers to visiting us. If you have any specific access requirements, please let us know when you call and we will make sure everything is ready for your arrival.
Yes, our team on Sandon Road regularly supports families from Blythe Bridge, Cheadle, Tean, Werrington and the surrounding villages, so distance is rarely a barrier. We also cover areas including Bentilee, Eaton Park, Weston Coyney, Meir Heath and as far as Stafford and Bradwell, meaning we are well placed to help wherever you are based. Please do get in touch and we will talk through how we can support your family.
Our team on Sandon Road is here around the clock, so you can call us at any hour and we will talk you through everything calmly and without rushing you. We can arrange to bring your loved one into our care from home, from a hospital, or from a care setting in Meir, Carmountside, or anywhere else we cover. In those early hours you do not need to have any decisions made — we will guide you through what needs to happen and when, so you can focus on your family.
On the day of the cremation, our team will bring your loved one into the service venue, such as Holy Trinity Church or St Augustine's RC Church if you have chosen a religious setting beforehand, before the cremation itself takes place at the crematorium. The service typically lasts around 30 to 45 minutes and can include music, readings, and time for reflection — we will talk you through every detail during the arrangement meeting so nothing feels uncertain. Afterwards, we will guide you through the options for your loved one's ashes, whether that means a memorial, scattering, or keeping them at home.
