Yes, our team at Nile Street Funeralcare supports families across Smallthorne, as well as neighbouring communities including Baddeley Green, Ball Green, Norton Le Moors and Milton. We also cover further afield into Leek and Hanley, so wherever you are in the area, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We are here to help your family every step of the way.
You can call us at any time, day or night, and our team will be there to help from the very first moment. We can arrange to bring your loved one into our care from home, a hospital or a care setting anywhere across Burslem, Middleport and the surrounding communities, and we will guide you gently through the paperwork and next steps so nothing feels overwhelming. You do not need to have any decisions made before you call - just reaching out is enough.
Supporting Black British families and honouring the rich cultural traditions that matter to them is something our team at Nile Street Funeralcare takes great care to do with respect and sensitivity. We can work with local churches including Christian, Methodist and Catholic congregations, and we will listen carefully to understand the customs, music, dress and service that feel right for your family. No two funerals are ever the same, and we will make sure this one truly reflects the life that was lived.
We have a small on-site car park, and free street parking is available nearby on both Nile Street and North Road, which are within easy reach of our funeral home. The building is all on the ground floor, with wheelchair access and an accessible toilet, so everyone in your family is able to visit comfortably. Our ground floor arrangement room means there are no stairs to navigate at what is already a difficult time, and our team will always be ready to welcome you from the moment you arrive.
We work with three local crematoriums - Carmountside, Bradwell, and Vale Royal - and our team will talk you through which might suit your family best depending on your wishes and practicalities on the day. On the day itself, we accompany the procession to the crematorium, support your family throughout the service, and make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible so you can focus on being together. We will explain every detail in advance so nothing comes as a surprise.
