About Salt & Son Funeralcare, Newcastle-under-Lyme

Our funeral home in Newcastle-under-Lyme has been serving the local community since 1846. During that time, we've come to know and love our local area well. On the day of the cremation, our team will manage everything from collecting your loved one and travelling to the crematorium together with your family, to ensuring the service runs exactly as you have planned it. The service itself typically lasts around 20 to 30 minutes, though we can discuss extended slots if you feel more time would help, and you are welcome to choose readings, music or a celebrant to reflect who your loved one truly was. We have three on-site parking spaces at our Bridge Street funeral home, and if those are taken there is street parking nearby as well as the Castle Car Park multi-storey, which is a short walk away and offers pay-and-display spaces. Our arrangement room is on the ground floor, fully air conditioned and comfortably seats up to six people, so families can take their time without feeling crowded or rushed. The building has step-free wheelchair access and an accessible toilet, so please do not hesitate to let us know in advance if anyone in your family has particular access requirements.

We are here around the clock, so you do not need to wait until morning to call us — our team at Salt & Son on Bridge Street can arrange to bring your loved one into our care at any hour. Once that is in hand, we will gently guide you through the practical steps, including registering the death at Newcastle-under-Lyme Register Office, which is something families often feel uncertain about.
