We work with Bradwell, Carmountside, and Stafford crematoriums, and our team will help you choose whichever feels right for your family and the wishes of the person who has died. On the day itself, we handle all of the coordination — from the procession to liaising with the crematorium staff — so your family can focus entirely on saying goodbye. Whether you choose Bradwell close by or travel a little further to Stafford, we will be with you every step of the way.
We are available whenever you need us, day or night, and one of the most important things we can do in those early hours is simply come to you. Our team can arrange to bring the person who has died into our care at H. Goodwin on London Road, taking that immediate weight from your shoulders while you begin to process what has happened. When you feel ready — whether that is the same day or a little later — we can sit down together in one of our arrangement rooms to talk through paperwork, next steps, and what kind of funeral would feel right.
We work closely with a number of local churches including Holy Trinity RC, St Paul's, St John's, and St Giles, and we are experienced in arranging both religious and non-religious services across Newcastle-under-Lyme. Whether your family has a particular faith tradition you would like honoured, or you are looking for a more personal, secular farewell, our team will work with you to create a service that truly reflects the life of the person who died. We are here to make sure the occasion feels right for your family, whatever form that takes.
We have on-site parking right on our forecourt on London Road, directly in front of the building, so you will not need to worry about finding a space when you visit us. The funeral home is fully wheelchair accessible with a ground floor arrangement room and an accessible toilet, meaning everyone in your family is welcome and comfortable during what can be a difficult visit. If you have any specific needs, please let us know when you call and we will make sure everything is ready for you.
Yes, our team at H. Goodwin on London Road covers Clayton as well as the surrounding areas of Hartshill, Butterton, Whitmore, Hanchurch, and across Newcastle-under-Lyme. Please do get in touch and we will make sure you are looked after from the very first call.
