AJ Bell Great Run Series member prize draw terms and conditions

1. Promoter

This prize draw is operated by Co-op Insurance Services Limited (part of the Co-op Group) of 1 Angel Square, Manchester, Lancashire, M60 0AG with society registration number RS004390. References to "Co-op", "we", "us" or "our" in these terms and conditions are references to the Promoter.

2. Opening and closing dates

This prize draw opens at 8am on 22 April 2024 and closes for each individual Run on the dates in the table below. Any entries made before the opening date or after the closing date will not be valid and will not be entered into this prize draw.

3. Eligibility

This prize draw is open to residents of the United Kingdom only who are Co-op Members at the time of entry. To find out how to become a member visit our membership page.

Entrants must be over 18 at time of entry. We may ask the winners to provide proof of age.

Co-op employees, employees from its group undertakings and employees of its agencies directly connected with the creation and administration of this prize draw are excluded. Online access and valid email address required.

4. How to enter

All entrants must enter by filling in their submission form available at coopcompetitions.co.uk/co-op-insurance and indicate which Run they wish to participate in. Entrants can select multiple Runs on the submission form, provided that their entry is submitted by the closing date of their chosen Run(s). Please ensure that you are free and able to attend the Run of your choice on the dates indicated in clause 20. We reserve the right to withdraw any applicants at any time for entries that are not valid or, in our sole discretion believe, may damage the reputation of the Co-op and any of its subsidiaries.

5. Prizes

There will be five (5) prize winners for each of the following events (30 winners in total):

• AJ Bell Great Bristol Run - 19 May 2024 - 10k or half marathon
• AJ Bell Great Manchester Run – 26 May 2024 – 10K or half marathon
• AJ Bell Great North 10K – 7 July 2024
• AJ Bell Great North Run – 8 September 2024 – half marathon
• AJ Bell Great Scottish Run – 6 October 2024 – 10K or half marathon
• AJ Bell Great South Run – 20 October 2024 – 10 miles

Each prize consists of a race entry to the event selected at the time of entry by the winner(s). Each prize winner will win (1) entry into their respective AJ Bell Great Run Series event listed.

Delivery will be made by email to the winner’s email address specified in the submission form. Each winner will receive an email to redeem their place in the event in accordance with clause 7. We accept no responsibility where a participant enters incomplete, incorrect or non-valid information on the submission form or where a participant does not redeem their place by the time specified in clause 7.

The prize does not include travel or accommodation and covers entry to the event listed only. Prizes are not exchangeable, non-transferable, and no cash alternative can be requested. Prizes are provided at our discretion and the Promoter may substitute or change the prize for a prize of an equivalent or greater value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so.

6. Winner selection

Each of the Great Run events will have the specified number of winners as detailed in clause 20 below. Each winner will be drawn at random shortly after the closing date and on the same day for each Run’s prize draw (as specified in clause 2) by ISG Live Limited (company no. 06264427) using a randomised computer process.

7. Notification

If you win, you will be notified by email from ISG Live who are managing the prize draw on behalf of the Co-op, using the email address you provided when entering the prize draw. If a winner does not respond by the Redemption Date or within five (5) days of being notified by ISG Live (whichever is sooner), then the winner's prize will be forfeited and another winner will be picked at random from the remaining eligible entries in accordance with the process described above in clause 6. We do not accept any responsibility for email notifications that are delayed or not received by winners due to circumstances beyond our control.

8. Decisions of the promoter

If there is any dispute about the receipt or validity of any entry or any other aspect of the prize draw, this will be decided at our sole discretion. Our decision regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about the decision. We reserve the right to cancel or amend this prize draw due to events or circumstances arising beyond our control.

9. Winner list

Winner‘s surnames and respective counties of residence can be obtained by sending an email to coopinsurance@isglive.com within fourteen (14) days after the closing date of each Run’s prize draw (as specified in clause 2).

10. Agreement to these terms and conditions

Entry to this prize draw shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the prize draw. These terms and conditions prevail in the event of a conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.

11. Disqualification

We reserve the right to reject any entry, withhold the prizes and disqualify you from the prize draw if we suspect you of failing to comply with these terms and conditions or of fraud, cheating or dishonesty. Entries must be made personally. Entries made through agents/third-parties, bulk entries or automated entries are invalid.

12. No responsibility for entries not received

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, or delayed entries, such entries will be void. The Promoter cannot guarantee uninterrupted or secure access to the entry route. We accept no responsibility for entries not successfully received by us, or which are delayed, due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.

13. Use of personal information to administer prize draw

We, other members of the Co-operative Group, ISG Live, and 3rd party agencies acting on our behalf, may collect personal information from you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable data privacy laws. Except as set out in clause 14 below, we and other members of the Co-operative Group will only use your information for the purposes of administering this prize draw.

14. Use of personal and other information for promotional purposes

By entering this prize draw, you agree that if you win we, other members of the Co-operative Group and 3rd party agencies acting on our behalf may use your entry, name, photo or image, captured video content, county of residence and any testimonial you have provided to us, for promotional purposes (including but not limited to, on our websites, social media, PR, within our magazines or within promotional emails). 15. Cancellation or withdrawal of prize draw

We reserve the right at our absolute discretion to withdraw or cancel this prize draw without prior notice and without liability to any party if it becomes necessary to do so.

16. Changes to these terms and conditions

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Revised terms and conditions will be available at coop.co.uk/insurance/about-us/our-promotions/2024-great-run-prize-draw. It is your responsibility to keep up to date with any such changes.

17. Limitation of liability

All conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law or otherwise in connection with the prizes are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law and the Promoter shall be under no liability whatsoever or howsoever arising in connection with any loss, damage or injury suffered as a direct result of the provision or use of the prizes. The Promoter makes no attempt to exclude or limit its liability for death or personal injury arising as a result of its negligence.

18. Relevant law

This prize draw and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England if any dispute arises.

19. General

The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. We cannot guarantee that the prize draw will be free from disruptions, failings, or cancellations. We are not liable for such disruptions, failings, or cancellations unless they are caused by our negligence.
