Yes, our team at Newton covers Burtonwood and the surrounding communities, including Haydock, Lowton, and Ashton in Makerfield. From our funeral home on Crow Lane East, we can come to you wherever you are, guiding your family through every step with care and without you needing to worry about distance.
You can call us at any time of day or night - our team is available around the clock to come and bring your loved one into our care from wherever they have died, whether that is at home, in hospital, or in a care setting near Ashton in Makerfield. Once your loved one is safe with us at Crow Lane East, we will sit with you, at a pace that suits you, to talk through the paperwork, the next steps, and what kind of funeral would feel right for your family.
We have long-standing relationships with a number of local churches and venues, including All Saints Church, St Mary and St Johns Church, Market Street Church, and Wargrave Emmanuel Church, so we can arrange a service that reflects your family's faith and wishes. Whether you would like a traditional religious service or something more personal, our team will liaise directly with the venue on your behalf so you do not have to manage those conversations yourself.
We are on Crow Lane East, and if you know the Nine Arches viaduct, we are not far from there - it is a useful local landmark to help you orient yourself. Parking is available on Water Street, just to the side of the building, and our funeral home is fully accessible at ground floor level with wheelchair access and an accessible toilet, so every member of your family can visit comfortably.
We work with St Helens, Greenacres, Walton Lea, and Howe Bridge crematoriums, so your family has a genuine choice about where the cremation takes place. On the day, our team will travel with your loved one and ensure everything runs smoothly, whether that means a simple direct cremation or a fuller service with family gathered to say goodbye - we will walk you through what to expect at each venue.
