Questions and answers

We arrange services at St Helens Crematorium, Walton Lea, Wigan and Howebridge, depending on what works best for your family. The crematorium service usually lasts around 30 to 45 minutes and can include readings, music and personal tributes. We'll guide you through everything that happens on the day, from the timing to what you might want to include, and we'll be there with you to make sure it all runs smoothly.

Yes, absolutely. Our Newton funeral home on Crow Lane East regularly serves families across Golborne, as well as Newton, Earlestown and Ashton. We've been part of this community since the 2000s and we know the local area well, so whether you're arranging a funeral in Golborne itself or bringing someone home to be cared for here, our team will look after you with the same warmth and professionalism we offer all our families.

Yes, we have a chapel of rest here on Crow Lane East where you're welcome to spend time with your loved one in private, peaceful surroundings. Visiting can be an important part of saying goodbye, and there's no rush, you can come as often as you need to. Our team will arrange appointments at times that suit you and your family, and we'll make sure you feel comfortable and supported during every visit.

The first thing to do is give us a call, and we'll take care of everything from there. If your loved one has died at home, we'll arrange to bring them into our care sensitively and respectfully. If they've died in hospital or a care home, we'll liaise with the staff and collect them from there. We'll then register the death with you, start arranging the funeral, and answer any questions you have along the way.

Yes, we arrange both religious and non-religious funerals to reflect what your loved one would have wanted. We work closely with local churches including St Peters, All Saints, and St Mary & St Johns, and we can also arrange humanist or civil celebrant-led services at the crematorium. Our team will talk you through the options and help you create a service that feels right, whether that's a traditional church funeral or something more personal and contemporary.
