Young driver insurance fees and charges

We want to make sure you’re clear about what we charge you for and when.

Changing your car

• If you keep the same smart box the fee is £50
• If a new smart box is needed the fee is £75

£25 making a change to your policy

For example, changes to your:

• name
• address
• named drivers.

This fee is on top of any changes to your premium that your changes may cause.

£25 rejected direct debit payment

This fee applies to any unsuccessful collection of a monthly instalment.

Cancellation fees

Within 14 day cooling off period: A refund of 50% will be applied to the below fees if the smart box is returned within 14 days following cancellation. - arrangement fee - renewal fee - change of vehicle - new smart box fee

After 14 day cooling off period: £50 If cancelled by customer request or by us.
A refund of 50% will be applied to this fee if the smart box is returned within 14 days after cancellation.

Voidance

If we declare your policy void due to fraudulent activity we are entitled to keep any premium you've paid.

Payments and refunds

If you have paid by credit or debit card we may take extra payments from, or make refunds to it.

We’ll only hold on to your card details for the time you have a policy with us. We hold your data according to the payments card industry data security standards.

We’ll let you know in writing 14 days before any request for extra payments or refunds.
