You can book a vet video consultation anytime through FirstVet without paying an excess, it affecting the cost of your insurance or counting as a claim.
Adoption discount
Get a 2.5% discount if your pet is adopted from a recognised animal charity or rescue centre. This introductory discount applies for the first year only and is subject to a minimum total price.
Choose the cover for your pet
We offer lifetime and time limited policy types, each with a choice of cover levels.
Complimentary treatment
Vet recommended treatment such as acupuncture or physiotherapy is included, up to the policy limit.

Pet insurance is there to cover your pet if they have an accident or illness and will cover the costs of the treatment needed, minus any excesses.

Our types of pet insurance cover
Co-op Pet Insurance offers two types of policy, lifetime and time limited.
Lifetime
- lifetime cover for illnesses and accidents as long as you renew each year without a break, subject to your policy limits
- 7 cover levels to choose from: £1,000, £2,500, £3,500, £5,000, £7,500, £10,000 and £16,000
- the annual limit refreshes each year.
Time limited
- provides cover for 12 months from the first treatment date for each illness or injury
- 2 cover levels to choose from: £2,000 and £5,000
- the annual limit refreshes each year.
