You can book a vet video consultation anytime through FirstVet without paying an excess, it affecting the cost of your insurance or counting as a claim.

Adoption discount

Get a 2.5% discount if your pet is adopted from a recognised animal charity or rescue centre. This introductory discount applies for the first year only and is subject to a minimum total price.

Choose the cover for your pet

We offer lifetime and time limited policy types, each with a choice of cover levels.

Complimentary treatment

Vet recommended treatment such as acupuncture or physiotherapy is included, up to the policy limit.

Our types of pet insurance cover

Co-op Pet Insurance offers two types of policy, lifetime and time limited.

Lifetime

  • lifetime cover for illnesses and accidents as long as you renew each year without a break, subject to your policy limits
  • 7 cover levels to choose from: £1,000, £2,500, £3,500, £5,000, £7,500, £10,000 and £16,000
  • the annual limit refreshes each year.

Time limited

  • provides cover for 12 months from the first treatment date for each illness or injury
  • 2 cover levels to choose from: £2,000 and £5,000
  • the annual limit refreshes each year.
